Short Bio

Bingyao Huang is an Associate Professor in the College of Computer and Information Science at Southwest University, China. He earned his B.S. from Tongji University, China, in 2013, his M.S. from Rowan University, USA, in 2015, and his Ph.D. from Stony Brook University, USA, in 2021. His research interests include augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), computer vision, and biomedical imaging. He studies the intersection of artificial intelligence and AR/VR/MR, with a focus on physical modeling, computational photography, representation learning, and differentiable rendering for spatial augmented reality (SAR). His work has appeared in journals and conferences including IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TVCG, CVPR, ICCV, IEEE VR, ISMAR, and AAAI. He received the Best Journal Paper Award at IEEE VR (2021) and the Best Paper Award at IEEE VR (2026).
